Regional

Scales are to be memorized.

Order of the Audition.  3 Scales with arpeggios (up to 4 sharps/flats), Excerpt 1,2,3 the Sight Reading. You are not to talk to the judge.  Scale must be played at one note = 120 or faster.  You only have 8 min. to audition.

Our clinician this year is Mr. Bill Bitter, former Orchestra Director at Highland High School

We have wonderful music selected. Johannes Brahms/Parlow: Hungarian Dance No.5, Aaron Copland: Saturday Night Waltz and Hoe-Down, Alfred Reed: Greensleeves and Ronald Nelson: Jubilee. 

Regional Orchestra auditions Information

Registration Fee: $30 per entry (Audition deadline for CDO 11/7/25)

Sat 1/24 at Palo Verde High School 1302 S. Avenida Vega, Tucson, AZ 85710 

We will have a rehearsal on Tuesday, 2/3 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Flowing Wells High School.

Please mark your calendars, and make sure you can be there, or have a chaperon with chaperon form approved by AMEA.
