CDO Orchestra and Band Traveled to Anaheim, CA to perform at the Heritage Festival at Rose Center Theater on 3/16/18. Both Orchestras and Bands performed well, and received numerous awards. Symphonic Orchestra and Wind Ensemble Received Gold 1st Place, also receiving Adjudicators Awards, and invitation to the Festivals of Gold. Concert Orchestra and Symphonic Band Received Silver Awards. Band scored highest in the Band category and received the Outstanding Ensemble award. We scored highest points for the top Orchestra and Band combined, and received Instrumental Sweepstake Award, Kai Skaggs, Violin, Gabby Cioca and Ashton Rowe received the Maestro Award for performing Solos. We also attended a concert performed by Pacific Symphony Orchestra, with Pinchas Zuckerman as violin soloist at Segerstrom Concert Hall, and spend a day at the Disneyland, and visited Little Tokyo on the way back.
